How a NOCTIS fragrance is made

Composition
A brief becomes a formula. Materials are chosen against what is actually in the cabinet, at concentrations that are recorded rather than remembered.

Trial
Three five-millilitre trials leave the atelier before anything is bottled. You wear them, rate them, and choose. Only then is a production formula written.

Provenance
Every flacon carries a code. It resolves to the batch, the formula version, the dilutions, and the supplier lot of every material inside it.

The code on the base of every bottle resolves to its production batch, the exact formula version it was filled from, each dilution that went into it, and the supplier lot behind every raw material. Nothing is reconstructed after the fact; it is recorded as the perfume is made.
